World Presidents' Organization - Rebel Chapter

The Rebel Chapter of World Presidents' Organization started in 1990 formed originally as the World Business Council and by 1991 changed its name to the World Presidents' Organization to reflect its growth.  The Rebel Chapter held its first official Annual meeting in May of 1993 at the Cloister Hotel on Sea Island, Georgia.   Since that time the Chapter has grown to over 280 members throughout Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

The Mission for forming the new Chapter was to renew friendships with those who have aged out of YPO Rebel Chapter into what it is today.  At every level - local, regional, national and international - WPO is dedicated to the mission it shares with YPO:  'Building Better Presidents Through Education, Idea Exchange and Networking'.  The organization's mission affords the intense focus on the candid exchange of ideas and dedicated to the freedom of expression beyond what might normally be possible in settings sponsored by corporate or governmental entities.  The Rebel Chapter as well as the International Organization takes no political or ideological position.  It is, in essence, a league of the business Presidents determined to extend their knowledge of business and the world order and thereby enhance the commitment they can make professionally and personally.

The Rebel Chapter members are 50 years and over and currently, the median age is 55.  Worldwide, there are 75 international and local chapters who have the opportunity of participating in outstanding educational and social programs.
